Impact Farms uses different high tech farming technologies in and outside of the field. As the farm continues to grow, we are challenged to continue utilizing the latest modern technology in agriculture. We are able to make calculated decisions such as nutrient placement, hybrid selection, and track chemical usage that best fit each farm.
Impact Farms machinery is equipped with Global Positioning Systems (GPS). More than straight looking fields, we know exactly how much product will be applied on each farm, eliminating gaps and overlap. GPS equipment is used in every tractor and combine.
For example: if you have a 150.3 acre field, the planter will plant the exact amount of seed needed and end up with a planted total of 150.3 acres more times than not matching the exact field size.
Precision agriculture has greatly advanced in the last 20 years. Agricultural tech companies have increased the uses of digital farming in many ways. Information technology in agriculture is key to making many decisions on the farm from planting through harvest and even tiling out farms. Impact Farms is using much of the current technology to assist in making decisions.
Either no-till or different types of tillage are used depending on each farm.
